I purchased the Asbestos Test kit online and it arrived about a week later, via mail. I had a panel that fell down from the ceiling to use for a sample. Using the gloves provided in the PRO-LAB test kit, I broke off a small piece and placed it inside the small plastic bag provided, then that bag went into a larger bag provided. I then filled our the form that also came from with the kit and placed everything into the prepaid mail envelope and mailed it off. Super easy!
Roughly 2 weeks later, PRO-LAB emailed me a very professional report detailing the content and to my belief, there is no asbestos in the ceiling tile. We are actually a customer that originally purchased a couple of Carbon Monoxide Kits, so I was very pleased to see many other test products that you offer. Thanks again.

We were a couple of weeks away from buying our family home with our second child on the way. We were considering scaring the popcorn ceilings, when we realized that given the age of the house, the ceilings were likely to have asbestos! This was a great concern to us with the renovations that we wanted to do eventually and all the potential costs and hazards. We were quite surprised that the asbestos and lead tests weren’t done as part of our home inspection, given the age of our home. Fortunately, we found PRO-LAB’s Asbestos Test Kit and they offered expedited service for not much more! Sure, we paid expedited shipping, but we didn’t have much time before buying the house and big decisions to be made before our move and the baby’s arrival. It was only 6 days from the time we took the sample and mailed it until we had the results. We got an email from the lab the day they received the sample, which told us exactly which day to expect the results and they made it happen! This was some of the best money we have spent for the piece of mind we can buy our house without any future disclosure issues and renovate it the way we want without the fear of an undisputed carcinogen. You really can’t put a dollar amount on that type of piece of mind, but if you could, having a professional company come out and do the collection would have taken at least as many days and would have cost around $800. We spent around $100 in total. Thank you for offering this service PRO-LAB!
